I get so inspired by so many great Oklahoma photographers and love seeing blogs, websites and information and updates. SO I am getting ready to update my blog and get more updated and fresh look. I really think when you can see pictures bigger on the blog you can really feel the emotion of the event. I love being a photographer and I love being a part of this market where we can bring memories that will make you laugh, smile, cry and capture the memories. So stay tuned and keep checking on the updates.

This is a little story about my last 31 years in a few paragraphs. My life with my husband, Bob started on 07-07-79 after I graduated from OSU. So 30 years later, my life became so full circle. We have three children, Brian, Jeremy and Pam, all completed 12 years of a private school education, then all completed 4 years of College. So after 24 years of some type of tuition we are finished! Our last child, our little girl, Pam graduated from OSU this past Saturday and without the help of so many of my Tri Delta Sisters and their families, my two sons, my daughter in law, Keegan (Pam's boyfriend), Annie (Brian's girlfriend) and friends, I couldn't have done it without each and everyone of you! Here are some pictures of the day! Her brother and sis in law surprised her from Seattle and she was truly shocked!

Such JOY! Celebration of the arrival of miss ryli, born May 1st at 1:41pm weighing in at 6 lbs and 19 inches. I got a call from ryli's mom and I was so excited for her and Chris, not just because they wanted me to be a part of this wonderful day but also to be a part of her birth. I am a volunteer for Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep organization, which is a bereavement photography to parents who lose a child, and around 11 months ago I got a call and Ashlie and Chris lost their little boy, Hunter. So as we remember Hunter, we celebrate his sisters birth and she is such a cutie. Check out these pics! Thanks again Ashlie and Chris for allowing me to be a part of her birth and capturing her memories.

Some people pray for rain, but Annette was hoping the rain would stop just long enough for her to get her family together and get a family picture. Just got back from Phoenix for the PPA Imaging USA, for my customers that don't know what I am talking about. . . .well it is the best photography show to learn and hear some the best USA and International Photographers. My top photographer, Denis Reggie was there and I also heard several other photographers that inspired me and I gained so much information. One photographer that I heard was Jim DiVitale and he was incredible.
One of the best things that I got to do was meet Anne Geddes and hear her speak to about 3500 fellow photographers and she was incredible, I could have listened to her all night. Her story was inspiring and the one thing I could really understand was when she talked about her passion for baby photography, I could relate. I share that passion for photography with babies, children and most of all my couples who are planning their wedding. So it is going to be a great 2009 and if you book your wedding with me, you will not be disappointed.. . . see you soon.

My brother enjoying the Holidays, he is doing great after his heart attacks and quit smoking! Yea so if you think you can't quit smoking, yes you can!

I was Nastaran and Chris photographer for their wedding and they were back in town to get family pictures done. It was fun and little crazy, one of her sisters had her purse stolen while we were trying to take pictures but they were great sports and kept smiling!

Hope everyone had a great Holiday and looking forward to a Happy New Year. 2008 was busy and had its challenges, my brother suffered two heart attacks and my business has been growing and I still love doing pictures and seeing my families and couples laugh, cry and cherish those special memories. Life is so special and capturing memories is what it is all about. I am going to share with you a few events that happened in Dec and my 2009 weddings are getting booked so call me and lets get the date booked before it is too late. . . . . .

Holiday Time with Kids

It was exciting to have all my kids home for the Holidays, Brian from Austin, Jeremy and Tori from Seattle and Pam and her friend Keegan from Stillwater. The only think that we missed was Annie (Brian's girlfriend) SO maybe next year we will all be here, the stockings were hung and if you asked my kids, they would say "Yes there is a Santa Claus"

When I started photographing weddings in 2006 most of my brides chose not to have a Bridal Session, in 2008 that trend has changed. Most of my brides are choosing to do a Bridal session, it is like a trial run with the dress, makeup and hair. I think the brides that have had a Bridal Session has been so glad that they did it and they have been so much fun. . . . here are my last three brides, Missy, Sharla and Traci. Way to go girls and I had a blast working with all of you guys!

OSU Homecoming 2008

OSU COWBOYS are 7-0 and moving on up! Many of you guys know my daughter is a Sr at OSU and was one of the Directors of Homecoming for her sorority Zeta Tau Alpha. They paired up with the men of Phi Kappa Alpha (PIKES) and they did an awesome job! They won 1st in Peoples Choice, 2nd Place in Sign, 2nd Place in House Decorations and 2nd in overall Sweepstakes. This was such an exciting time for my daughter Pam, she has been working on this for over 12weeks and with very little sleep and still going to class and working for OSU Athletic Dept. Way to go girl and you girls and guys of ZTA-PIKE ROCK!!!!

I am so excited, I had the pleasure of being Justin and Jennifers photographer at their wedding 9-30-2006 and they called me shortly after little Griffin was born 10-11-08 and I had to get to the hospital and capture this little guy. Can you believe how perfect he is! This little guy is less than 24 hrs old and is so cute and big brother Kyle is so happy to have a brother.

Valerie and Marcus were married at Tinker Chapel although the base was without power for 30 minutes the wedding was picture perfect and I was fortunate enough to stop downtown with them to cherish this special time and capture a few pictures.

They surprised their families and friends when the new couple went to dance their first traditional wedding dance. . . but wait they broke out into a professional choreographed dance. The new TLC hit show called "Rock this Reception" came into town this past week and followed Nastaran and Chris and worked with them and some of the bridesmaids to shock the party with a song and dance that no one will soon forget. So be sure and watch on Tuesday nights and catch all the fun and excitement.

The Brown-Fowler wedding was picture perfect, great pics before the wedding, small shower inbetween the pics and the wedding service, so with just a few moments before the wedding, the bride and her bridesmaids look outside and we spot the most beautiful rainbow. It came as fast as it left and then the wedding ceremony began, what a sweet and great way to send your daughter off to her new life with all the prayers and that special rainbow to bring the happy couple many years of happiness! Congratulations to Jon and Natalie Fowler. . . .it was a great day!
